Magenta Shores Resort on the Central Coast of NSW was the venue for Verosol's prestigious Award Night.

For an astonishing 4th year, KWA Blinds were awarded both National and International Dealer of the Year ahead of stiff competition across the world market for Verosol blinds.

The award was presented at an Hawaiian themed night by International Managing Director Art Jan Vos of the Netherlands.

Mr Vos is quoted as commenting 'achievements at this level are highly coveted. This achievement is testimony to the remarkable package of quality, service and integrity provided by the world leading company, KWA blinds.'

Current Project - 123 Albert Street

123 Albert Street is a new icon to Brisbane’s CBD skyline.

123 Albert Street incorporates evolving design technologies to create the best possible working environment for tenants.

123 has achieved a 6 Star Green Star – Office Design v2 Rating and is designed to achieve a 5 Star NABERS Energy Rating.

To help achieve the 6 Star Green Star rating, KWA Blinds is installing Verosol motorised roller blinds with Enviroscreen 802 fabric. Enviroscreen is a Green product, formaldehyde and PVC free.

This 100% Trevira CS fabric provides vision out whilst maintaining the comfort of the occupants by substantially reducing the amount of heat and glare entering the building. The blinds are controlled through Somfy Animeo Façade Management.

Trends Magazine Editorial - Ipswich Courthouse

Regarded as a landmark building in the region, Ipswich Courthouse combines an open plan, well lit design with a small environmental footprint.

To help achieve this result KWA Blinds installed a range of translucent and blockout blinds and curtains.

KWA Blinds Director, Sonya Wilson said "We worked with the architects and builder from very early on. We installed 390 Verosol Mode Roller Blinds for the offices and courtrooms. These are extremely rugged products with a smooth, counter-balancing, spring-assisted mechanism for ease of use and a reputation for trouble-free operation over extended periods. Their brushed alloy and stainless steel components connected well with the aesthetics and other interior fittings."

Some of the interesting challenges faced by KWA Blinds were;
- Large glass facades with window heights of 400cms
- Finding a roller blind fabric that was able to provide sufficient shading / sun screening
- Coordinating the look and feel of blinds and curtains with both translucent and blockout characteristics

International Dealer of the Year 2009

The KWA team and Verosol Australia's Managing Director Phil Mouret and QLD Manager Wayne Foster celebrated their success with a
Story Bridge Adventure Climb.

International Managing Director of Verosol, Aart Jan Vos awarded Australian company KWA Blinds the trophy for achieving International Dealer of 2009.

Highly coveted worldwide, KWA managed to keep out all local and overseas competition for 3 years.

Trends Magazine Editorial - Santos Place 6 Star Green Star Tower, Brisbane

Awarded the coveted 6-Star ESD rating, Santos Place consumes 1/3 the energy of a conventional structure of similar size. 

Sonya Wilson, Director of KWA Blinds explained that the blinds contributed to the performance of this energy friendly building. "We used the Somfy Animeo Facade Management system to manage the blinds in this building. On a building of this size, control over the sun's rays is essential. KWA Blinds supplied and installed a sophisticated yet user-friendly blind and control system for Santos Place."

In total, KWA installed 36 levels of motorised Vertilux roller blinds. The blinds were controlled by Somfy's state of the art Animeo Facade Management System.

Verosol International Dealer of the Year 2006

KWA Blinds successfully achieved the Prestigious Award of Verosol International Dealer of the Year 2006.

Managing Director of Verosol Fabrics B.V. The Netherlands, Aart Jan Vos said on congratulating KWA Blinds, that it was a significant achievement and the first for an Australian Company.

KWA Blinds have continuously been Commercial Dealer for Verosol in Queensland since 1999, and have been awarded National Commercial Dealer for Australia in 2004 and 2006 and Runner-up in 2002 and 2005.

Australia's first installation of "Animeo" Motorised Roller Blind by KWA

Hutchinson Builders - one of Queensland's largest commercial builders - were seeking a facade management system to maximise building efficiency by controlling over 90 blinds and sun shading applications around their building.

KWA Blinds installed the Somfy "Animeo" Facade Management System due to the ability to centrally monitor and control the Verosol blinds on three facades via a combination of timers, sun tracking devices and weather sensors. Control of individual Verosol blinds by staff, major alarm input and a master key switch were other key functionalities included in the Somfy system.

Somfy, France

The visit to Somfy's Factory in France was an opportunity to see

the latest in Motor technology.

Somfy employs over 70 engineers and technicians in their quality department and all products are tested to International Quality Standards.

Verosol, Netherlands

Visiting Verosol Netherlands was an opportunity to view the procedures for Metallisation of fabrics.

Verosol has been metallising fabrics for over 40 years and is the only company in the world to provide accredited metallisation of fabrics for blinds.
